The “Inflections” series
Daily mental and physical balancing act caused by the need to meet expectations (of being a father, husband, son, employer, employee, taxpayer, artist) if not done consciously can lead to disorders and dissociation and, as a consequence, to a breakdown or, at best, to a broken finger, for example. The series is dedicated to men suffering from depression and aims to warn against the risk of suicide.

“The Observers” – on the permeability of viewer and artwork.
The series “The Observers” is an artistic exploration of the relationship between the viewer and the artwork, challenging the classical division between creator and recipient. The project highlights the unpredictable power of active looking, presenting the viewer as an indispensable participant in the creative process rather than a passive observer. At the center of attention is photography—not as documentation or image—but as a photo-object: a hybrid of image and space that extends beyond the flat surface, spilling over into the frame, the wall, and the exhibition environment. A key formal device is the placement of the viewer's figure in the foreground of the frame. This results in a radical shift in perspective: the viewer not only looks, but is looked at and becomes a co-creator of meaning, moving beyond Derrida's notion of the “Parergon.” Some of the photographs presented are anonymous and unsigned, discovered on film rolls from private archives.
