Jerzy Dobrzański (born in Rzeszów, lives in Warsaw).
Sculptor, product designer, graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. PhD at the Design Department in Cracow’s Academy of Fine Arts.
Recipient of a Kosciuszko Foundation scholarship at the Pratt Institute in New York in 2012 and a scholarship from the Minister of Culture in 2018.
In 2014-18, he ran the Systemic Product Design Studio in the Design Department at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
Since 2023, he has worked at the Faculty of Architecture of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.
From 2014 to 2024, he collaborated with Jagoda Przybylak, a pioneer of Polish avant-garde photography. Since 2022, he has been the legal supervisor of the Jagoda Przybylak Historical Studio in Warsaw’s Old Town.
Public space is his natural environment for exhibition and creative exploitation. He creates spatial objects and functional sculptures mainly inspired by the social state of mind, body, and spirit. He is the winner of many sculpture and design competitions as: Must Have at the Łódź Design Festival in Lodz and the Top Design Award at Arena Design in Poznan.
